PRICE:


At our Academy there are two roles each applicant can apply for. They are On-field and Non-field. The On-field price is $1,500 whereas the Non-field price is $750

WHEN:


Friday, May 19th through Sunday, May 21st, with registration opening at 6:00 PM (MST) on Thursday, May 18th. The Academy will conclude at 12:00 PM on Sunday May 21st. MORE INFO


WHERE:


We will be headquartered at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Salt Lake City Airport. All officiating game sites will be at high schools in the Salt Lake area. MORE INFO


TRAVEL:


Travel to and from the Academy, and to and from each game site, is the responsibility of, and at the expense of, each official. Crew Referees, in conjunction with Crew Mentors, will coordinate transportation. MORE INFO


 GAMES:


Teams are from the Rocky Mountain Football League, a semi-pro style league with players 18 years and older. All games will be played using full NCAA 2016 rules, including game clock, play cock timing, and penalty enforcement. MORE INFO


CLASSROOM:


Friday includes classes most of the day, with games that evening. Saturday includes classroom during the morning and games throughout the day. Sunday includes classroom time until noon. MORE INFO


PAYMENT:


Payment in full must be made no later than March 31st, 2017. For individuals registering late as non-field officials, special arrangement can be made. MORE INFO





The Stars and Stripes Academy was created in 2012 by Karl Richins (former Big 12 referee and published author) and Ryan Dickson (current PAC-12 official) as a way to prepare officials for the experience of working “big time” football. The Academy is located in Salt Lake City, Utah, usually the second weekend in May.
