Bobby Albi

Robert Albi is a Project Coordinator for No Limits Volleyball based in Centennial, CO. It is the third largest single provider of youth competitive volleyball in the country. While in college, he began officiating with the San Fernando Valley Football Officials Unit in Southern California. In 2004 he transferred to Regis University and graduated in 2006. This year will be his fifth year officiating in the RMAC as a Line Judge. During his second year in the RMAC he worked in the Division II NCAA Playoffs. The following season he was named to the alternate RMAC playoff crew. Robert serves as the Coordinator of Officials for the Semi-Pro American Developmental Football League based in Littleton, CO.
Scott Amerman

Scott Amerman started officiating football in 2003 at the high school level in Colorado. He began officiating at the D-II collegiate level in 2011 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) as a Field Judge. In 2012, 2014 & 2015, he worked a first round D-II NCAA playoff game. Scott and his wife Kellee reside in Lone Tree, CO with their two children, Ryan (7) and Ali Jo (4). Scott is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a BA degree in Economics and currently works for AEG Live, an international concert promotion company.
Josh Aragon

Josh lives in Sacramento, CA where he was born and raised. He is a recent graduate from California State University of Sacramento, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. Josh currently works for the California Department of Social Services, working as a Disability Evaluation Analyst. He spends most of his spare time exercising and playing for a year-round intramural basketball team; he is also a passionate Sacramento Kings fan. He has officiated high school football in Sacramento for seven years, with additional duties as an instructor and member of the mechanic committee. Josh has worked for the CCFOA in Northern California for four years as a deep official, and the last two seasons have included bowl games as a back judge.

Don has been officiating for 15 years and NCAA for 10. Don lives in Huntington Beach, CA and is a current crew chief in the Orange County Football Association. He has been a HL in the SCIAC conference for 8 years. Last year, Don was selected to represent the SCIAC Conference with a NCAA playoff game at Linfield College in Oregon.
Don is a father of three. He has an 18 year old daughter in college. He also has two sons (11 and 3). Both his boys are very active in sports and his daughter is studying to be a nurse.
Professionally, Don owns an insurance agency that specialized in Health, Life, and General Liability Policies.
For pleasure, Don likes to surf, snowboard with his boys, run, and enjoys outdoor sports. He also officiates HS boys’ varsity basketball.

Terry Edward Basquez is a Certified (CFO) SCCFOA college Football official in Southern California. 14 year- high School Football Official with state playoff experience. Positions included Umpire, Back Judge and Head Linesman. Attended West Texas 2015 Accepted to the 2016, Stars and Stripes football official camp.
Bachelor’s degree from Regis University, Denver Colorado. Masters in Coaching/ University of Northern Colorado. 18 year Varsity HS head coach in multiple sports.

Jay Bilbo

Jay Bilbo lives in Kansas City, Missouri and does IT consulting work at hospitals. He and his wife have been married almost two years ago and are expecting their first child.
Jay has officiated football at the high school level for the past 12 seasons. His college career began 4 seasons ago when he was hired into an NAIA conference (Heart of America). He was then hired into NCAA Division II (MIAA) and has worked there for the past 3 seasons, during which he has also had a few opportunities in the CFO West program.

Brian Bortness is a Residential Real Estate Appraiser who lives in Escondido, CA with his beautiful wife of 14 years, Mindy. Brian is a step-father of three amazing children: Bryce, Hayley and Mattie. Brian is a graduate of California State University, Fresno with a BS in Business Administration, Option in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics. Brian honorobly served in the US Navy and began officiating football in 2006. In 2015, Brian was hired into the SCIAC as a FJ. 2014 and 2013 he worked in the SCCFOA on a JC Crew as a SJ and worked a SCCFOA semi-final playoff game in 2014. At the High School level, Brian is a Crew Chief for SDCFOA and worked the 2014 Semper-Fidelis All American Bowl as a SJ. Brian has also worked three San Diego Section CIF Championship games: D-IV, D-I and Open Division and with a recent 2015 CIF State Regional Playoff game. Brian has a passion for officiating football and is grateful for its fraternal culture.

Mike Bressler married his high school sweetheart Paula 30 years ago and they reside in Canyon, TX. He is the proud father of 4 children; 2 boys and 2 girls and the even prouder grandfather of 2. He is employed as the Southwest Regional Purchasing and Formulation Manager for J.D. Heiskell & Co. He works extensively in the Dairy industry in CO, KS, OK, TX and NM. His football officiating career began in 2008 at the high school level. He has worked with the WSFL and CSFL the past 2 seasons and worked in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in 2015. He also has worked with indoor CIF arena football the past 2 years. Mike gives back to his football officiating community by leading off-season rules training sessions.

Reed Brotherton is an Instructional Coach residing in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife and two daughters. Reed is proud that both of his daughters know the difference between a foul and a penalty. In 2013, Reed joined the Western States Football League (NJCAA) as a deep wing official. He was selected as a Field Judge to officiate the 2014 WSFL Championship and the 2014 Valley of the Sun Bowl. In 2015, Reed was selected to officiate the El Toro Bowl as a Back Judge. Reed is also the President of the Arizona Football Officials Association, which provides training to both high school and aspiring college officials.

Reed Brian is coming up on his 4th season as a Head Linesman in the GNAC. He started officiating football in 2004 and began working college football in the Northern California Community College Association in 2006. Brian is thankful to have been assigned to work several post season games for both conferences.
Brian works as an attorney and is a shareholder in the firm of Thorndal, Armstrong, Delk, Balkenbush and Eisinger. His practice is concentrated in the United States District Court of Nevada and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Brian has been together with his wife Joan for 11 years and together they have four children.

Andy lives in Mission Viejo California. He owns Blue Shark Pool and Spa service. Andy’s wife’s name is Michele, he has been married for 26 years in August. He has 2 beautiful children, Austin and Mikayla. Austin is a graduate of St Mary’s College in California. Mikayla is currently in the Nursing program at University Mary Harden Baylor in Texas. Andy has been officiating at the high school level since 2010. He is currently a Line Judge and has also worked at field and side judge positions. In 2013 he started working with 1st year officials as a mechanics instructor. Andy also officiate girl’s lacrosse at the high school level which keeps him in great shape. He will be joining the SCCFOA of Orange County this season to get some community college experience.
Rodney Bryant

Rodney Bryant began officiating football in 2008 at the high school level with the Central Virginia Football Officials Association. During his time with the CVFOA, Rodney worked numerous playoff games, was a crew chief and served as the VP of Evaluations. In 2011, he was invited to begin officiating at the collegiate level in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and USA South Conference's. In the spring of 2015, Rodney was invited by Gene Steratore to join the Tri-States Football Officials Association to work in the Mountain East Conference, D-II, and Presidents Athletic Conference, D-III. He was fortunate enough to have been selected to work in the NCAA D-II playoffs in 2015. During the off season, Rodney stays busy officiating ice hockey at the minor professional level in the Southern Professional Hockey League. Rodney and his family have recently relocated to Salt Lake City where he works as a software engineer.

Juan Dan Buhler lives in Nampa Idaho with his wife of eighteen years and four children. Dan grew up in Boise Idaho and has been in the construction industry for over twenty years and operates a residential remodeling business in The Boise area.
Dan is going into his ninth year of football officiating which includes two seasons in the NAIA Frontier conference. Dan is active in his local association and maintains a leadership position in the Rocky Mountain Football League. Dan is also a volunteer Ball Boy at Boise State University football home games.
Jason Castro

Ben Jason is the proud father of three children Logan 10, Madison 8 and Dylan 6 and grateful husband to Julia Castro for the last 13 years. Professionally Jason is a project manager for a commercial glazing contractor in Rohnert Park, CA. A career it seems he has been involved in since birth.
Jason began officiating high school football for the NBOA in 2001, community college football for the CCFOA in 2005, and DII & DIII for the NIFOA and GNAC in 2013. Primarily he has worked as a back judge and referee at the collegiate level but he looks forward to the challenge and opportunity to work as a center judge for this years’ academy. Locally he is still actively involved in his high school group as a board member, treasurer and scholarship chair. Of course Jason is passionate about the game of football but finds himself enjoying the camaraderie that we are able to create as officials and friends on and off the field most of all.
Donald Denson

Donald Denson resides in Henderson, NV with his wife Shelly and three kids Breona, Aleah and Ty. He attended San Jose Community College where he played football. After owning his own wholesale Florist Company he began working for FedEx in 1998 as a courier. He was promoted to Management for FedEx in 2004 and is currently managing at the Las Vegas FedEx Ramp facility. He started officiating in 2004. In 2014, he was hired into the SCCFOA Conference as a Head Linesman/ Line Judge.
Dustin Drawhorn

John Dustin has lived in the San Francisco bay area for nearly 5 years. He works for Cisco Systems as a software engineer. He will be moving to Austin, TX in June with his girlfriend Nicole and working at Cisco's Austin office.
Dustin has been officiating football since 2009 when he was in graduate school at Texas A&M. The last 4 years he has worked as a deep wing for "The Organization", the northern California junior college football officials group. His JC bowl assignments include the Northern California Championship (2014) and the State Championship (2015).

Ty started high school officiating in 2004. In 2007, he joined the Western States Football League and officiated Junior College football until 2015. Mike Burton, in 2014, invited Ty to join the Northwest Intercollegiate Football Officials Association (NIFOA), Northwest Conference (NWC), and Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) where he currently officiates NAIA, Division III, and Division II football as a Field Judge and Referee. He has been fortunate to officiate three high school state championships, three junior college bowl games, and two NAIA playoff games. Ty is currently the CEO for a small private college system headquartered in Fresno, CA.

Tom lives in Oro Valley, Arizona. He is married to his wife Molly. They have been married for almost fifteen years and have two children, Madison (4) and Jordan (2). During the week Tom works for Pima County helping customers navigate the development process.
Tom has been officiating football since 2004. He has worked junior college football since 2008 in the Western States Football League (WSFL). Tom has worked the last two years in the GNAC & NW conference. He has worked the 2010, 2011 and 2013 Valley of the Sun Bowl and the 2012 & 2014 El Toro Bowl. He also officiated the 2013 WSFL Championship Game. Tom was fortunate enough to be selected to work a first round NAIA playoff game in 2015. Almost all of the games he has worked are at Field Judge. Tom also officiates Division II and junior college basketball.

Brian Earls is 31 years old and lives in Ontario, CA with his beautiful wife of two years, Samantha. Brian has been officiating in Southern California since 2010. He began working Junior College for Rich Kollen in the Southern California Collegiate Football Officials Association in 2013 . In May of 2015 Brian was hired by Vern Sparling into the D-lll Southern California Interscholastic Athletic Conference (SCIAC) as a full time Back Judge. Brian graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2007 with a degree in Business Administration. He works as a utility driver for UPS where he has been employed for the past 12 years.
Todd Evans

Todd has been officiating football for 9 years. He is coming out of his third year in the Western States Football League (WSFL), where he has worked at the Umpire position and was selected to officiate the 2015 El Toro Bowl. Todd was selected by his football peers to the Vice President seat of the Arizona Football Officials Association (AzFOA) and is co-founder of the Valley of the Sun Football Officiating Clinic (VOSOC) to train and prepare Arizona officials for college level officiating. Todd is a graduate of Florida State University where he played offensive line for the Seminoles 1990 - 1992. Todd has been employed at American Express for over 17 years and is currently a Director of Compliance. He is engaged to a wonderful supporter for his passion to officiate football and has 6 beautiful daughters ranging from 8 to 19 years of age.

Known Ken Faber is a husband and father of four married children and lives in West Jordan, Utah.
Ken has been officiating football at the high school level for over eight years and has worked multiple state semi-final games and two state championships games. When not officiating football, Ken spends many hours of his time volunteering, working with kids coaching little league baseball and spending time with his granddaughter.

Ron A bay area native, Tony has just completed his 7th year of officiating at the umpire position at various levels over that time period. In 2014 he completed his first season with the CCFOA (JUCO) out of California and was awarded high school playoff games in the WCAL high school conference in his 2nd year of officiating and given an A ranking by the leadership staff for PSI (Peninsula Sports Inc).
He relocated his family to Colorado as of November 2014, given 4 RMAC games last year and was granted entry into the RMAC for a full 2016 season. Tony and Cheryl, his amazing wife of 12 years, and their 2 children, Bella (11) and Gabe (8) live in Parker, Colorado.

BJ lives in Tucson, Az and has been married to Lupita for 4 years. He has one daughter, Jamie (5). During the week BJ is a Special Education teacher and middle school athletic director. BJ has been officiating since 2004 and has worked junior college football since 2007 in the Western States Football League. BJ has been working in the GNAC & NW Conference for the last two years. He has worked the 2009, 2011, and 2012 Valley of the Sun Bowl and worked the 2013 El Toro Bowl. He also officiated the 2013 and 2014 WSFL Championship game. In 2015 BJ was appointed to the Big Sky Developmental List as a deep official (Back Judge). He also was selected in 2015 to work a first round NAIA playoff game.
Joel Fuhrmann

Joel Fuhrmann is from Charlo, Montana. He currently works on a ranch, raising Limousin Cattle. He also serves as the assistant fire chief of the local volunteer fire department. His officiating career started in 2002 with basketball. With basketball he serves on the evaluation committee and has worked numerous post season tournaments. The following year he started officiating football. He currently has 13 years of officiating at the high school level as well as 9 years working at the NAIA level as a Side Judge in the Frontier Conference. Joel serves in a bunch of different roles to help the local high school pool run smoothly. He has worked numerous post season games at the high school level and was selected to work the 2012 NAIA National Championship. He enjoys teaching and mentoring younger officials who want to get better.

Alex Jason currently resides in East County San Diego. He and his wife Suzanne, have been married 7 years this August. Together they have 2 children; Caleb (2-1/2) and Julie (16 Mo.’s). Jason’s day-job is serving as the Youth Minister & Assistant Minister for the El Cajon Blvd. Church of Christ. Jason also officiates Lacrosse during the Spring for the SDCLOA, this is his (7th) Season.
Jason has been Officiating Football since 2007 and has worked NCAA football for the SCCFOA since 2012. Initially he found work on the Line of Scrimmage as a HL/LJ. However, during the 2014 season, he worked as a Field Judge. In 2014 he officiated the “Beach Bowl”; Long Beach CC vs. Golden West CC., and in 2015 he officiated the “Golden State Bowl”; LA Valley College vs. San Bernardino Valley.

Patrick Dave Gudgell lives in Murray, Utah with his wife of 17 years, Paulina, their three boys, Alex (age 11), Nick (6) and Luke (4) and a newborn daughter, Isabella. Dave works as a Director of Operations for Fidelity Investments in Salt Lake City, Utah and has been with this company for the past 16 years.
Dave started officiating football in 2009 and also has been coaching his son’s little league team since 2012. He started officiating junior college games in 2012 and DII games (GNAC) in 2015.

Jacob Gustafson lives in Mesa, AZ with his wife Jodi and his four children. He owns and independent insurance agency with two of his brothers and focus on selling to commercial truckers. Jacob started his officiating High School basketball in 1998 and then baseball and football in 1999. He has worked High school for 13 years as Umpire and moved to Referee in 2012. He started working Jr College Baseball in 2002 and Jr College football in 2010 as an Umpire in the WSFL.

Brad came to the officiating world in a roundabout way. He started working for the Mountain West Conference as a Red Hat and Replay Sideline Assistant in 2004. In 2008 he started working in the Colorado Springs association on field. He has had the opportunity to work the Colorado 5A Semifinals and the Colorado 2A Championship games before being hired in the RMAC in 2015. He currently works as a Line Judge in the RMAC. Brad has been married to his wife Whitney for 13 years and has a son, Jefferson (8). He has an undergraduate degree (Colorado State University) and graduate degree (University of Colorado) in Finance and works as a Financial Advisor with his business partner.

Fred Hamsayeh has worked in the Financial Services industry for the past 18 years. Fred has an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University and is a CFP® with LPL Financial, LLC. Before entering the financial services industry, he served in the US Navy as a shipboard engineer. Fred is proud of his military service and is a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). He supports several Veterans Charities, donating his time and resources for the benefit of our nation’s true heroes.
Fred has been an official in the Southern California Collegiate Football Officials Association (SCCFOA) for the past 5 years. He started officiating in 2003, working High School games up to the 2015 season. He has worked all positions except Umpire and is currently a Side Judge. Fred currently lives in Costa Mesa with his 15 and 10-year-old daughters. He enjoys the food, hiking, beaches and atmosphere of Orange County, CA.
Bryan Hastings

Bryan was born and raised in Gilbert, AZ as the last of 8 children. As a youth he was involved in sports, scouting and participated in a humanitarian trip to Bolivia. He worked in the dental industry in various capacities for 11 years. He is currently the operations manager for the American Institute of Dental Assisting, which provides vocational training for students. Bryan has been married for 10 years and has two young boys.
Bryan started his first year as a football official in 2005 working high school football as headlines man and line judge. He has worked in the high school level for 11 years and has worked various playoff games. In 2013 he started working for the Jr. College Western States Football League where he has worked several playoffs. He was selected to work the Valley of the Sun Bowl in 2014 as an alternate and in 2015 as headlines man.

Blair Havens is from the San Diego Unit and is entering into his 12th year officiating. In addition to working at the high school level, he has worked at the community college level for five seasons. He has been fortunate to have many great officiating mentors who have helped him develop his skills.
Blair is a commercial real estate professional with a focus on sales and leasing in North County, San Diego. He has a passion for athletics and stays involved in competitive sports through coaching and officiating. He currently resides in Carlsbad with his wife and his son Blake.
Max Heckel

Max Heckel was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and currently resides in Gilbert, Arizona. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University in 2010. He is employed as a director in the accounting department at a property management company in Arizona, City Property Management Company. Max began his officiating career upon his graduation from high school in 2006. In 2013, he began officiating college level football in the WSFL. He was selected to officiate the 2015 El Toro Bowl in Yuma, Arizona and was a clinician at the 2016 Valley of the Sun Officiating Clinic. Max has attended football officiating camps in the past in El Paso, Texas and Reno, Nevada.

Patrick (PJ) Herron, 37 years old, resides in Black Forest, CO. Patrick owns/operates an electrical contracting company, completing projects throughout Colorado. Herron Electric is in its 10th year of business. He and his wife, Leighann, are proud parents of 4 wonderful children. Madisyn(10), Chase(7), Bryce(5), and AnnMarie(16 months).
Patrick is currently in his 4th year officiating in the RMAC (DII). He spent 7 years in the Colorado Springs High School association prior to moving into the RMAC.
Terry Hinn

Terry has been a football official for over 25 years. Last season, Terry worked his first year as a NCAA FCS Div I official in the Mid Eastern Athletic Conference as a deep win. The previous three years Terry worked in the Div II Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Terry enjoys the travel that comes along with officiating. Terry had a chance to get in to college officiating 15 years ago, but on advice from a parent of a college teammate and an NFL official he decided to forego the opportunity. Being a single father, he choose family, so he could be with his kids every weekend and attend all of their sporting events. Terry has no regrets and is ready to move forward with officiating.
It is Terry’s goal to become the best official he can be, and do what-ever it takes to reach that goal and see where it takes him. He is at home on a football field. Terry played Div 1 football at Colorado State as a wide-receiver and kick returner and also had the opportunity to play in the original Arena Football League with the Chicago Bruisers. He is a proud parent of 22 yr old son, an Engineering student, and a 20 yr old daughter, who is Pre-Vet student. He recently moved from Western Nebraska to Hot Springs, South Dakota in the beautiful Black Hills. Terry owns and operates 2 manufactured housing sales lots in the panhandle of Nebraska. He is also a Private pilot with an instrument rating.

Aaron works in Phoenix, Arizona as a Project Analyst for the Salt River Project. He resides in Mesa, Arizona with his wife of eight years; Nicole and their three amazing daughters, Addison(7), Brooklynn(5) and Carson(2). Aaron began his officiating career at the high school level in 2008 as a member of the Arizona Football Officials Association Aaron joined the Western States Football League (JC) in 2014, where he currently works all three deep positions, a was fortunate enough to be assigned to work the 2015 WSFL Championship and the 2015 Valley of the Sun Bowl.

Jeff’s profile as a football official is comprised of two “seasons” of life. After playing Division II basketball at Northwest Missouri State University, he began officiating high school football. Jeff married soon thereafter and started his family. With a new baby and a demanding career, Jeff decided to step away from officiating to concentrate on his family and carrer. After his oldest daughter went away college, he started back up again and after a couple of years of high school football in Colorado, he was fortunate enough to join the NCAA Division II Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference as a Head Linesman. I am now entering into my 3rd season with this conference. Officiating football is much more than simply a hobby for Jeff. It has become one of his greatest passions. Like golf, he finds it to be one of the most individually challenging activities that I enjoy and the friendships and comradery are nearly unparalleled to anything else he has experienced.
Jeff lives in Castle Pines, Colorado, a suburb of Denver, with his family. Jeff and Sherri have been married for 25 years now and counting. They have two children. The oldest, Lindsey, just graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in Communications and she now working in the Denver area. Peter is 13 years old and loves hunting, fishing and camping.

Josh Jacobsen’s introduction to officiating started with intramural sports in college. For the past 15 years he has officiated High School Football and Basketball. Gratefully, he has worked the last 4 years for Neil Peterson and the Frontier Conference (NAIA) as a SJ. Josh attended 2015 SASA (non-field) and mini SASA as a SJ.
Josh and wife Jessica, have twin daughters Paige and Rylee. He is a fireman with the City of Idaho Falls.
Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne Johnson began officiating 9 years ago in the local high school group in Tacoma, WA (Western Washington Football Officials Association). A few years later, he started his journey toward becoming a college official. Initially working junior college games in 2011, Mike Burton hired Dwayne into the NIFOA in 2013, as a Division III official (Northwest Conference). Two years later Dwayne was hired as a Division II official in the GNAC. Dwayne normally works either side of the line of scrimmage, but last season worked his first Division III game as Referee. Also in 2015, Dwayne was fortunate enough to be assigned a first round NAIA playoff game at Montana Tech.
Dwayne and his wife, Annette, have 4 children. He works in Seattle, WA as a Software Engineer.
Jeremy Jolles

Brandon In 1996, Jeremy began officiating football in Philadelphia, PA and received the association’s William Sharpe Rookie of the Year award. After relocating to Texas in 2009, he continued to officiate at the high school level receiving multiple state playoff assignments. In 2013, he moved to Arizona where he has officiated several state playoff games. In 2015, he joined the Western States Football League and currently officiates Junior College football.

Benjamin was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. He currently resides in Las Vegas working for Scientific Games as a Regional Sales Manager. He is constantly traveling but always makes time for officiating, working out and most importantly his Fiancé Mica! He started officiating youth games alongside his brother Dale at an early age then gradually progressed to High School and eventually collegiate football. After playing football at the University of Idaho, he started working Community College football in 2009 and is currently officiating in the GNAC & Big Sky Conference. In addition, he had the opportunity last year to officiate three NCAA Division II playoff games which included the 2015 National Semi-final game between West Georgia & Northwest Missouri State.

Doug King resides in Northern California and is married to his wife of 13 years, Dawn. They have two daughters, Jenae (8) and Addison (5). He works as a Sr. Territory Manager for a telecommunications infrastructure manufacture. He began officiating in 2008 and was blessed to be hired into the NCAA level in 2010 for the CCCAA.
Doug serves on the board of directors for his local high school area as the supervisor of officials and chairman for training all new incoming officials. His devotion and passion for helping others to find and grow their passion and love for the game increases with watching others progress on their own journey. He respects and understands that this avocation is more than just being a good official on and off the field, but most importantly a great friend, peer, leader, parent, and devoted husband.

Sheldon grew up on the east coast and attended Syracuse University where he was a member of the Syracuse Orangemen football team. He currently lives in Oro Valley, AZ and is in a serious relationship with his girlfriend Ginelle Gillett. Sheldon is currently a Program Director at a Residential Boys Treatment Facility located in Oracle, AZ. In his free-time, he mentors youth with teaching them life skills and independent living skills. Sheldon started officiating football nine years ago at the high school level in Arizona. He is starting his third season working in the Western States Football League (WSFL) as an umpire.

David Langley, along with his wife Bethany, lives in Albuquerque, NM. He graduated from New Mexico State University with his Bachelors and Masters in Agricultural and Extension Education, in 2006 and 2008 respectively. He taught at Mayfield High School for 4 years and help start the school’s first Agricultural Education Program. In 2012 he moved back to Albuquerque and went into business with his dad and uncle. Together, they operate a commercial general contracting company, in Santa Fe, NM. David began officiating in 2005, while attending NMSU. In 2015, he worked his first season in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference as a Back Judge.

Nick Larsen started officiating high school football in 2003 in Eugene, Ore. In that time, he has worked two state championship and four state semifinals. In 2009, Mike Burton of the Northwest Intercollegiate Football Officials Association (NIFOA) hired him as a Back Judge. In 2013, he started working in the Division II Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC). In 2015, he was assigned a first-round NAIA playoff game at Montana Tech.
Nick and his wife Michelle live in Eugene with their 3 daughters: McKinley (4), Ashlyn (2) and Evangeline (1). He is the owner and operator of Oregon Amateur Basketball, the largest promoter of youth basketball in the Pacific Northwest. He runs youth basketball leagues and tournaments year-round for 100+ teams on a given weekend.

Mike is a Southern California native and currently resides in Indio, CA. He is a Director of Finance for Hyatt Hotels and works at a resort in Indian Wells. He’s married for 25 years to Elvia, and have 3 boys, Danny 26, Michael 23 and Ricky 21.
Mike is an Umpire in the SCCFOA for the past 5 years and has a total of 8 years officiating football. Although he has yet to be assigned any post season games at the JC level, he has worked 2 CIF finals in high school as well as a championship game for the annual SoCal Marine Base competition between 29 Palms and Camp Pendleton.

James lives outside of Boulder, CO with his wife and two children, a 4-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl. James has consulted on energy policy and finance for over a decade. He now serves as a Policy Advisor for the Colorado Public Utility Commission. He played college basketball and lacrosse at Whittier College before transferring to the University of Kansas. James earned a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Colorado. He began his officiating career in High School seven years ago, primarily at the Umpire position. He has worked Colorado state playoff games and several Division II with the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC ) as a Side Judge. He has attended the West Texas Clinic, the Tom Beard Clinic and multiple CFO-West clinics.

Shane Lewis resides in Henderson, Nevada. He graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors Degree in Art and Industrial Technology. After moving to Las Vegas in 1990 he designed signs for many of the hotels and businesses in the area. In 2001 he began teaching Architectural CAD at the high school level in the Clark County School District. He started officiating in 1992 and began working NCAA football in 2000 as Back Judge, Field Judge and Side Judge.

Tyler Lindsay is a Mortgage Loan Officer who lives in Lakeside, California with his wife of 2 years. They are expecting their first child this fall. Tyler graduated from San Diego State University in 2012 with a BS in Business Administration Management. Tyler began officiating high school football in 2008 and most recently finished his second season in the SCCFOA officiating at the junior college level. Tyler has officiated games in the SCCFOA at BJ,FJ,SJ,HL, and LJ. At the high school level, Tyler has officiated San Diego CIF championship games in 2013, 2014, and 2015.

He started officiating in 2003. In 2010, he was hired into the Northwest Intercollegiate Football Officials Association (NIFOA) as a Head Linesman.

Jim Losey lives in Hays, KS and is married to his wife, Sandy for 32 years. He has two girls ages 30 and 28 and two grandchildren ages 3 and 1. He is self-employed as a tree arborist. He received a BS degree from Fort Hays State University. Jim officiated high school football for eight years and officiated two state championship games. He has been officiating college football for 14 years as umpire. He worked eight years in Junior College and NAIA and the last six years in MIAA Division II. Last season Jim worked two games for the Southland Conference.

Brandon lives in Albuquerque, NM where he works for the Mid-Region Council of Governments as a marketing specialist. He has received his BS in Economics, MS in Sports Administration and Masters of Business Administration from the University of New Mexico. He has completed 15 total years of officiating 6 of which were in the Division 2 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. He has worked a High School State Championship game and a NCAA Division 2 playoff game.

Ian Malepeai lives in Boise, Idaho with his wife, Hailey, and 2-year old daughter Malia, and works for Idaho State Department of Commerce. Ian played 4 years of college football for Brown University and has been refereeing football for 7 years. Last year he received his first half schedule in the NAIA Frontier Conference and will work a full schedule in 2016. In his free time, Ian enjoys being outdoors with his family.

Jeremy started officiating in 2002 at the high school level. He began officiating at the collegiate level in 2009 when he joined the Community College Football Officials Association (CCFOA) working as a Field and Side Judge. Jeremy was privileged to be assigned the 2013 Bay Bowl and the 2014 San Francisco Community College Bowl (northern California semi-final) in addition to working the 2014 division 1 Nevada high school state final. In 2015, he was also assigned the Northern California Community College Championship as well as the Northern Nevada Division 1 high school state final. Jeremy is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He is an aircraft structures engineer and FAA delegated engineering representative (DER) and lives in Reno, NV with his wife, Jasmine. He has 2 year old twins, a boy, Max, and a girl, Kalindi.

Mike Merritt is a middle school physical education teacher and athletic director for Ben Holt Academy. He is married to his wonderful wife, Colleen. Mike and Colleen live in Lodi, CA. He has been a football official for 16 years, having completed his 9th year of community college football in Northern California, where he currently works as a referee. Mike has worked six CCCAA Bowl games. He is, also, the regional representative for the Modesto/ Stockton group for the CCFOA/ “The Organization”. Mike also umpires high school and community college baseball.

Jeff Mikus and his wife Casey reside in Kimberly, ID. They have two daughters, Charley who is 4, and Audrey (AJ) who is 21 months. Jeff is a Ruminant Nutritionist employed by Diamond V, a feed ingredient supplier in Cedar Rapids, IA. Jeff works with livestock producers to produce wholesome food from healthy animals. Jeff’s education includes a B.S. in Animal Science from Tarleton State University, a M.S. in Animal Nutrition from New Mexico State University, and a PhD in Ruminant Nutrition from Texas Tech University. Jeff enjoys hunting and fishing. Jeff currently works as a supplemental official in the Southland Conference (2015-current). Jeff worked in the Division II Lone Star Conference (2010-2014) and the WSFL from 2009-2014. Three of his years in the LSC were as Line Judge, and two as Referee. Jeff worked the 2012 Brazos Valley Bowl (JC) as referee. Jeff has college experience at most positions.

Monty Montgomery began officiating football in 2006. While working High School Varsity Football Mr. Montgomery has had the opportunity to officiate C.I.F. Southern Section Championship games in 2009, 2012, 2014, and 2015. The 2014 C.I.F Championship appointment was as the Head Linesman for the C.I.F. Southern Section West Valley Division Football Championship Game. The 2015 season apex was a selection to officiate the Division 4-AA CIF State Final.
Mr. Montgomery’s collegiate experience began in 2010 when he joined the Southern California Collegiate Football Officials Association. He also officiated for 2 years with the California Collegiate Football Officials Association. The 2015 season ended with a selection to work the Beach Bowl at Ventura City College in 1 of 5 southern California junior college bowl games.
Mr. Montgomery resides in Lompoc, CA with his wife, Cristina, and their 3 children. He works in the tribal gaming industry as a Technology Services Senior Systems Analyst.

He began officiating at the collegiate level in 2015 when he joined “The Organization”, the Community College Association for Northern California, working as a linejudge. Michael was assigned the semi-final CIF game this past season in Camarillo, CA. Michael is a firefighter with the Santa Barbara County Fire Department and lives in Santa Maria, CA with his wife Kayla and three daughters, Mariah, Hailey and Jenna.

Spencer Mumford has been officiating high school varsity football for 14 years. During that time he has worked several state playoff games in both Idaho and Oregon, including the 2011 and 2014 Idaho State Championship games. He has worked 4 years in the Frontier Conference (NAIA) as a Back Judge, Side Judge and Field Judge. He currently resides in Meridian, Idaho, with his wife Kristin, and their four children. He owns and manages a residential cleaning company called Maid To Clean, and when he is not busy with work or football, Spencer enjoys spending time with his children and playing in competitive tennis leagues.

Currently Joel is from Spokane, Washington and started officiating high school in 2002. In 2010, he was hired by Mike Burton and joined the NIFOA. He currently officiates in the GNAC and NWC at the D2 and D3 levels as a field judge and prior to that was a side judge. He has officiated many state playoff games, including semi-finals and finals, and this past season officiated his first college playoff game in Butte, Montana at the NAIA level. This will be Joel’s second trip to SASA, as he was a member of Mike Contreraz’s 2nd place crew in 2015 as side judge.
Professionally, Joel has enjoyed working in Special Education for the past 14 years at the middle school and high school levels. Currently, he teaches and coaches softball at North Central H.S.
He and his wife, Jodi have an almost three year old son named Mason.

Justin spent his childhood growing up in the Midwest before a move to Arizona where he currently resides. He graduated from Arizona State in 2007 and currently works for as a financial controller at a commercial insurance broker outside of Phoenix, AZ. He is presently unmarried but has a wonderful Australian Shepherd that enjoys to hike the mountains in and outside of Phoenix. Justin began officiating high school football in 2006 and then began to work in the Western States Football junior college league in 2012. He has worked at every position in the high school level but has focused most of his time as a line of scrimmage official where he works currently on Friday and Saturday nights. He was fortunate enough to work the El Toro Bowl game as a post season assignment in 2015.

Mike began officiating football at the high school level in 2002. In 2006, he was hired to work community college football and joined the Southern California Community Football Officials Association (SCCFOA). Four years later, Mike was hired to officiate Division III football and became a part of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). For the past three years, he was ranked the number one line judge in the SCIAC, and with that, was privileged to work Division III post season assignments in 2013 and 2015. In addition, Mike had the honor of officiating the California State Community College Football Championship in 2012. Mike is a graduate of California State University of Long Beach with a degree in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and also works for Pacific Maritime Association. He lives in Rancho Palos Verdes, California with his wife and two children, Hannah age 12, and Ella age 8. Mike enjoys cycling, running and watching his daughters compete in club volleyball. He just ran the Los Angeles Marathon in February.

Tyler started officiating in 2008 for the local high school, and youth association Western Washington Football Officials Association (WWFOA). In 2013 Tyler was accepted as a candidate for the Northwest Intercollegiate Football Officials Association (NIFOA). In the spring of 2014 he got the call we all hope to get, Mr. Mike Burton hired him as a supplemental official for the 2014 season. 2015 Tyler was retained as a full time official for the NIFOA with a full schedule in the Northwest Conference D3 level. Currently work H at the H.S. level, and B at the D3 level. 2015 Tyler earned his first state semi-finial assignment. Tyler has been a member in good standing for the Sprinkler Fitter’s Union of Seattle Washington since 2000. Currently employed by Smith Fire Systems as a project Superintendent. Tyler and Jennifer Olsen have been Married since 2001, children Samantha, Jake, Natalie, and Granddaughter Sophia.

Michael Papushak and his wife, Monica, live in Las Vegas, NV with their 6 year old daughter, Ava. He has been teaching elementary school for 12 years and currently teaches 3rd grade at Paradise Professional Development Elementary School in the Clark County School District. Michael started his officiating career in 2007. He has worked a number of Nevada state high playoff games at various levels since 2010, including three state semi-final games. In 2014, Michael began officiating community college football full time in the SCCFOA. In November, he had the honor of being selected to work Line Judge in the Southern California Bowl JC playoff game. This past season, he also joined the Division III SCIAC staff as a developmental official and worked 2 games.

Mike was born and raised in NE Colorado until his move to Canby, Oregon in 2000. He is married with 5 children, ages 11-21. He serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Winco, Inc., a helicopter service provider specializing in electrical transmission line construction. He began officiating high school football in Salem in 2002. Working primarily as a line judge, back judge and now at referee, he has had the privilege of working several state playoff games, including the 2011 5A state championship and 2014 6A state championship. In 2010, he began working NCAA DIII in the NWC for the NIFOA as a side judge and back judge. The following year he was added to the staff of the GNAC to also work DII. In 2015, he moved to full time referee in the GNAC. He has been very fortunate to have worked a total of 7 post season assignments, including a 2014 NAIA quarterfinal and a 2013 DIII semifinal.

Dave lives in Henderson, CO and has been married for 12 years and has one child. He has a degree in Elementary Education and has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 1999.
Dave began officiating and coaching athletic sports including baseball, football, golf and basketball in 1990. He was fortunate enough to officiate the 1994 National Baseball Congress (NBC) Little League World Series.
Thereafter, he began officiating high school football in 2008 while having the opportunity to work many playoff games as a Back Judge (BJ). He also officiated the 2013 Colorado High School Coaches Association (CHSCA) Football All Star game as a Field Judge (FJ). His college football officiating career began as a part-time Side Judge (SJ), Field Judge (FJ) and Back Judge (BJ) in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) in 2013 and he was hired full-time as a SJ in 2014.

Kyle began football officiating while attending Western Washington University (Bellingham, WA) in 2003 (Whatcom Skagit Island Football Officials Association). He worked 2 years at the Varsity level before graduating and then taking time off to start his career in commercial real estate. In 2011, he rejoined the local Tacoma, WA officiating group (Western Washington Football Officials Association) and worked his first playoff game in 2015. Kyle enters his third year as a candidate with the NIFOA and Mike Burton. He works deep primarily – side judge, field judge and back judge.
Kyle has been a commercial real estate broker since 2005 and with First Western Properties in Tacoma, WA since 2008. He and his wife Megan have been married since 2010 and have two boys – Mason 3 ½ & Dylan 1 ½.

Kevin began officiating in 2006 in San Diego where he currently works as a high school crew chief. In 2011 he started working Junior College football and in 2013 he joined the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) where he currently works Division III football as a Side Judge. In 2015 he joined the Southland Conference development program where he worked a game at the FCS level. Kevin has been honored to work two round two Division III football playoff games and two California State championship games. Kevin works as a defense contractor managing a team of cost analysts and schedulers for U.S. Navy clients. He lives in San Diego and has been married to his wife Jessica for 6 years and they just had their first child in February 2016.

Jeff currently lives in Draper, Utah and has been married to Rachell for over 16 years. Jeff and Rachell have four energetic boys, Chance (12), Owen (9), Carter (7), and Mckay (4). For his daytime job he is an Operations Manager at Convergys Corporation.
Jeff has been officiating since 2002. He has been working in the GNAC & NW conferences for the last 2 years as well as working JC ball in the WSFL since 2012, primarily as a linesman. Since Jeff began officiating in the GNAC, he has been promoted to referee. Jeff was selected to work round 1 in the NCAA DIII playoffs in 2015 and has worked the WSFL Conference Championship game in 2014 & 2015.

David Reyes resides in Pasadena, CA, with his wife, Cassandra. They have 2 children, ages 5 and 2. He began officiating in 1996 and has worked Community College football for the past 10 seasons at Umpire, Side Judge and Field Judge. In 2012, David was hired by the Division III SCIAC Conference as an Umpire, and in 2015 was added to the Big Sky Conference Developmental List. Solomon Ricks

Solomon started officiating high school football in North Carolina in 1996. In 2005, he began officiating at the Division II level in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) conference; he worked the back judge position during his time in the CIAA. In five of his six years in the CIAA, Solomon received playoff assignments in the Division II playoffs. In 2010, he began officiating at the FCS level in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC); where he continues to work. His primary position has been deep wing, but he seeks to move to the center judge position in 2016. Solomon has also worked as a lacrosse official for the past three years.
Solomon works for the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as an Environmental Engineer. He received a BS degree in Materials Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University (NCSU). Solomon and his wife Felicia reside in Creedmoor, North Carolina; they have one son, Patrick (25).

Jon Sborov is 3rd-year FJ in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC – Div. II), after spending 8 years officiating HS football in Austin, TX and Denver, CO. He and his wife Tara have been married for 23 years and they have 4 children – Jasmine played basketball at the Univ. of Colorado and is now an Asst. Women’s Basketball Coach at Harvard; Amber is a college track and field athlete who is majoring in nursing; Jordan is a HS senior who will be attending the Univ. of Colorado this fall to become an engineer; and Jalen is a HS sophomore who stays busy humbling his father’s memory of his own athletic prowess and sprinting way too fast toward the finish line that marks the beginning of the empty nest! The Sborov family lives in Denver, CO, and when Jon is not skiing or mountain biking or participating in men’s ministry (yep, they go together!), he pays the bills by working as a director in a global technology solutions and consulting firm.

Paul Ryan Sherman, from Billings, MT, has officiated high school football since 2009. Collegiately, he has officiated in the NAIA Frontier Conference since 2011, working as a Head Linesman.
He is very active in the Billings Officials Association, where he currently serves as the head scheduler since 2011.
He resides in Billings with his fiancé, Erin Stevens, and is the owner of Grassmasters of Billings, a lawn and landscape maintenance company. He also writes for Stallionesearch.com, a Quarter Horse Racing website. He enjoys golf and traveling in his free time.

Since then he has worked two state championship games, and serves on the executive board for the high school officials group. Andrew played football for the University of Nevada where he also received a degree in Political Science. He is a Sales Manager for a family owned wholesale supply company. Andrew is married to his wife Janelle and has two children, a daughter Abigail and a son Jacob.

Carl Mike resides in Oceanside, CA with his wife Sandra. He has a daughter Ciara 26. Mike is a leader in the Solar industry with over 30 years of experience in both Solar electric and Solar Thermal . He has designed over 2300 systems for clients all over Southern California.
Mike was intrigued about being a football official at the young age of 46 after attending the annual San Diego Charger Blood Drive where the SDCFOA had a booth for recruiting. Being part of the SDCFOA and officiating as a umpire for the last 9 years has become a passion and love for the game and guardian of its integrity as an official for Mike. He is now on a continuing journey as a brand new member of the SCCFOA. As a high school official, he has worked numerous playoff games and a semifinal during the 2015 season. The gratitude as a crewmate to some incredible crews over the last 9 years has been the joy of his life.

Marcus Thornton is a Private Investor residing in Amarillo Texas. He is married to his beautiful wife Vanessa, and has 3 children; Hannah 19, Rebecca, 19, and Brennan 5. They support his love of football officiating. Marcus started officiating in 2009 at the high school level. He began officiating college in 2013. Marcus is currently working in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (D-II), and the Western States Football League (JC) officiating communities. Marcus also works in the indoor football officiating community. He is currently working in the CIF arena league. Marcus continues to work closely with his high school chapter teaching football philosophies he learns at camps and clinics. Marcus believes that you must know the information before you can teach it, and we should all focus on giving back to help others, who love our vocation, to excel.

Tyree began his officiating career in 2008 for the Denver Football Officials Association (DFOA). Gene Bouwman, in 2013, invited Tyree to join the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) where he currently officiates Division II football as a Back Judge. Throughout the offseason Tyree spends time officiating semi-pro football games in the Colorado Football Conference (CFC) and the American Developmental Football League (ADFL). Jacob Wittler followed in his father’s footsteps and began officiating high school football in 2003. Since then, he has worked multiple local and state playoff games in both California and Hawaii. In 2012 he was promoted to Crew Chief. His first Junior College assignment came in 2010. He was selected to work a Junior College postseason bowl game in 2012. For the 2015 season he work as a LJ for the SCIAC Conference (D3). Jacob received both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University. He is a Registered Civil Engineer and currently manages engineering projects for a firm in San Diego. He is engaged to be married later this year.

Jacob Wittler followed in his father’s footsteps and began officiating high school football in 2003. Since then, he has worked multiple local and state playoff games in both California and Hawaii. In 2012 he was promoted to Crew Chief. His first Junior College assignment came in 2010. Jacob predominantly works the line of scrimmage. He was selected to work a Junior College postseason bowl game in 2012. Jacob received both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University. He is a Registered Civil Engineer and currently manages construction projects for the federal government in San Diego.

Terry Woodley, a lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Mizzou. He spent 4 years in public accounting and 5 years as CFO for a national seminar company. Terry is currently President of Woodley
Building Maintenance, a janitorial and facilities services maintenance management company that employs approximately 1,000 associates in 8 states. He’s also President of Tier One Property Services, also a janitorial and facilities services management company that performs daily services over 700 locations.
Terry has 2 children, Alex (16) and Drew (14), who are both involved in sports. Terry is active in bicycling, golf, running and other fitness activities.
Terry is an active board member for several nonprofit entities, primarily those that support disadvantaged youth and providing support for entrepreneurs.
Terry has been officiating high school football (back judge) and basketball for 11 years and worked 4 years at Field Judge in the Heart of America Conference (NAIA) and for 1 year as a line judge in the MIAA (Division II). This is his 4th consecutive year as an on-field official at SASA.
